Definition: A rug or area rug can be a piece of carpet to cover a part or area of the floor, It could be hand knotted or machine made knotted of natural fibers, usually wool, but sometimes cotton or even silk. History: Actually there are two stories for teh origin of rugs
First, Nomadic people weaved rug to protect themselves from nature elements.Other than that they used it for decoration. Pazyrk is a good example of nomadic rugs.
Second, Persia is also considered as the origin of rug, we have many examples from them/ The most popular even till date is Persian rugs.
